Ivybreeze
[/center]Shiningheart
Name: Ivybreeze
Gender: she-cat
Age: 42 moons
Clan: WindClan
Ranking: Warrior
Description:
Personality:
It's nearly impossible to get Ivybreeze's spirits down. You'll almost NEVER find her without a bright smile on her face. She's quite the morning cat, and has been told time and time again by different cats throughout her life that it's just not normal. She has no problems just laughing it off.
No matter what the situation is, Ivybreeze likes to think that things will come out alright. She always looks on the bright side of things and tries to make others look at the bright side too. Unfortunately, most of the time her bright side is, "At least it can't get any worse." We all know how well those words bode. As soon as you say them... it gets worse.
While she may all happy and sunshiny on the outside, inside Ivybreeze a dark storm rages. Everyday she feels the loss and pain of losing her mate. Every night, when she lays in her nest in the den and sees the empty nest next to her, she dies a little inside. But she won't show it, no matter how much she's hurting inside. She doesn't want her kits to know.

History:
Acornheart and Amberleaf were pure-blooded WindClan cats. They never really cared much for each other. They were about two seasons difference between them. Acornheart was born in newleaf and Amberleaf was born in leaf-fall. They didn't have kits out of love. They had them out of necessity. As soon as the kits were born, they went their separate ways.
Ivykit and Redkit, by the will of StarClan, were born within the same moon of each other. They literally grew up together. They opened their eyes on the same day and instantly they were attached at the hip. Figuratively, but you get my meaning. They experienced everything together: their first time out of the nursery, their first piece of fresh-kill, their first everything. Heck, even they even shared their first case of kitten cough.
You'd think the attachment they felt for each other would be brother and sister, right? They were far too young to know anything about mates, let alone love. But there was one thing neither of them could deny. Redkit's mother went back to her warrior duties as soon as she was able. Whenever she went on late night patrols, Redkit slept with Ivykit and Amberleaf. Ivykit never really said it out loud, but she enjoyed the way his body pressed up against hers. Liked he belonged there.
The two stayed together up until their apprentice ceremonies, which they had, once again, at the same time.
Ivypaw got a tom named Rowanwhisker, a lean ginger warrior with more bark than bite. Her luck, he was also Redpaw's father. Redpaw got a she-cat named Brindlesky, a cream-colored she-cat. Ivypaw didn't like Brindlesky. She was too... too... flirty. She only ever half-paid attention to Redpaw, always batting her eyelashes at him and cooing over how strong and handsome he was. Ivypaw saw how upset this made Redpaw. Not only was she not paying attention to her apprentice, she was downright molesting his father right in front of him.
So Ivypaw got as even as she could without making it obvious. In a training bout with Redpaw, she allowed Redpaw to fling her across the clearing and straight at Brindlesky. She'd been too busy staring at Rowanwhisker, who was doing his best to ignore her advances. It goes without saying that she wasn't very happy about it. Brindlesky screeched at Ivypaw, demanding if she was trying to embarrass her.
Ivypaw didn't even try to be polite or respectful in her response. "If you'd pay more attention to your apprentice instead of my mentor, then you would have seen that awesome reversal he just did. If you'd been watching, then I wouldn't have landed on you. So don't blame me if you're too incompetent to notice your surroundings, Brindlesky." Then she went back back to Redpaw, who was staring at her in awe and admiration.
From that moment on, something changed between the two. They were even closer than before, emotionally. It was something that no one, not even the obnoxious Brindlesky, missed. The two were falling in love, and Ivypaw was never happier than when Redpaw laughed or smiled at her.
Warrior/Queen
Unfortunately, it took longer for the two to realize their feelings than others would have thought. It wasn't until two seasons passed their warrior ceremonies, when they were 20 moon sold, to confess. At first, they couldn't believe that the other returned their feelings. Then they were on cloud 9. They were never away from each other, and even more connected than when they were kits, running under every cats' paws and causing mayhem to the best of their ability.
It took even longer for them to have kits. Both were far too embarrassed about that part of being mates. It took them a good fourteen moons, more than a year, to get over their own insecurities and have kits. When they were 33 moons old, Ivybreeze became pregnant and moved to the nursery.
That's when things took a turn for the worse. RiverClan began to press on their borders. They started ambushing border patrols (luckily leaving them all alive), hunting on WindClan territory (catching no prey because, let's face it, RiverClan isn't fast enough to catch rabbits), and moving the borderline. This went on for three moons, by which time Ivybreeze had three kits: Thrushkit, a sandy brown tom, Mousekit, a fluffy gray tom, and Poppykit, a tabby she-cat.
A battle broke out with RiverClan beside the gorge, and that's the night that Ivybreeze received the worst news of her life. It was the middle of the night. Redwhisker had been chosen to go on the moonhigh patrol with Rowanwhisker and two others. Their three kits were asleep, curled up around each other. Rowanwhisker and the patrol came back bearing wounds and without Redwhisker. Rowanwhisker didn't even have to say anything. He just had to look Ivybreeze in the eyes and she knew.
But he told her anyway. RiverClan ambushed their patrol just as they were going along the gorge. They'd been prepared, and fought back. Redwhisker was fighting a RiverClan she-cat when he was thrown over the edge. It was deliberate, and the smirk on her face said she wasn't sorry at all. The fight was called off, both Clans went their separate ways, and RiverClan stopped bothering them.
A patrol was sent downriver to find Redwhisker's body, but it was never found. They found evidence of something being dragged from the water, but they didn't know what it was. It's because of this that Ivybreeze doesn't think he's dead. She thinks that he's alive somewhere, and trying to find their way back to them.
8 moons have gone by. Ivybreeze swears that she won't take another mate, no matter if Redwhisker returns or not. She loves him, and will love him even after she joins StarClan. Her kits are apprentices, two moons into their training.
