Icefire
Owned by: Midnight
Name:
Icefire. Her name provides a word of description for each of her eyes: one an icy blue, the other a blazing orange.
Gender: She-cat.
Age: 24 moons.
Clan: RiverClan.
Ranking: Warrior.
Description:
Icefire is a she-cat of average size. Small paws run into long, able legs that sprout from muscular shoulders. As it goes with most RiverClanners, swimming against the strong current and hooking fish with eager paws has rippled her body with lean muscle. Her body boasts no peculiar attributes, nothing more than a graceful shape and a powerful build. Fatal beauty, some might say.
Icefire's pelt, though, has a lot to boast. She is mottled with the colors of any other calico, though her hues seem to burn with more intensity. While the bottom half of her pelt is primarily white, the top is ablaze with colorful patterns. A shade of brown-red covers ears to tail-tip. It looks as though the she-cat rolled around in ashes, her pelt flecked in a dark speckles, stripes, and blotches of black. Icefire's fur is streamlined, sleek, and shiny, due to a diet of fish. Her pelt is always well-kept. It's rare you'll see a hair out of place.
Her eyes are her most notable feature. One glares icily, a deep, frosty blue, while the other blazes a fiery orange. Her eyes are always sparkling, flaring with deep emotions. Big and round, they give her face a cutesy appearance; but only when they shine happily. Icefire eyes can turn into blazing daggers when she's angry. As are most cats born with two different eye colors, Icefire is deaf in her right ear; the one that sits on the same side of her blue orb. A minor disability, it has never bothered her much. In a Clan of fishing, sight is far more important than hearing.
Personality:
Icefire is usually seen spouting some optimism to keep her Clan's spirits up. Icefire is a social butterfly of sorts, though she really doesn't do that much talking unless prodded. While she never starts a conversation, she never shoots down a greeting. She's usually the listener in situations, willing to be an ear to a cat with a problem. The she-cat is often thought to be wise beyond her years, never hesitating to hand out advice to anyone. Her loyalty is prestine. Clan comes first, no matter what. Icefire even puts others before herself, sometimes going out of her way to please them.
Icefire carries herself with modesty, always humble. While she's sort of shy, she always makes sure to get to know every member of her Clan, from kit to elder. The feelings of others fascinate her, and if she feels someone is distressed, she's prod them to vent to her. She has a big heart, and you'll never find a kinder she-cat. While it's hard to make Icefire angry, she isn't afraid to stand up for herself or Clan. She can compose a fine argument when needed, but she never lashes out without reason. She cares about others much more than she cares for herself. If her Clan isn't happy, she isn't happy.
Icefire thinks before she acts, with intelligence and logic. She prefers to settle things peacefully, but will fight to any extreme for her Clan. The she-cat is often the settler of disputes among Clan-members. That there can be such hate in the heart of a cat saddens her. She spents a lot of time with kits in particular, always sure to put kindness and morals into the newest members of her Clan. Icefire loves kits, and hopes for her own soon.
History:
Kit:
Icefire was born to a RiverClan couple by the names of Ashspot and Dappleleaf. While her father was never interested in anything more than his Clan, Dappleleaf loved all of her kits with a heart of gold. A harsh leafbare, an expecting Dappleleaf waiting to give birth to her last litter before retiring to the Elder's den, frail with old age. She gave birth to a single kit, mewing weakly against the whistling winds of winter. Dappleleaf fretted over her last kit for days, and after a week it wasn't hard to see the little kit was half deaf. The title Icekit wasn't bestowed onto the little kit until she opened her glazed eyes for the first time. Dappleleaf watched the weak kit grow, heart broken by her poor health.
Apprentice:
Icepaw's apprentice ceremony was one that surprised many. As spring bloomed into summer, Icepaw proudly accepted her new name, knowing that not many had expected her to survive. Dappleleaf retired to the elder's den the same day of the ceremony. Icepaw vowed to train her best, until she was just as healthy and strong as all of the other cats in her Clan. And train she did. Always determined, Icepaw trained more vigorously than her body could take, and even when she felt like breaking down, she kept on going. Icepaw proved her drive to protect her Clan again and again, until she recieved her warrior name. A few days before her warrior ceremony, her father died in a border shuffle with ThunderClan. As horrible as Icepaw felt, she couldn't bring herself to feel any sorrow, for she had never had any sort of bond with Ashspot.
Warrior:
Icepaw became Icefire, her name describing her very unique eyes. Not long after her warrior ceremony, her mother died peacefully of old age. Icefire was sad at the loss, but accepted it was her mother's time to join her star-pawed ancestors. Since the loss of her mother, Icefire has become a fine warrior, especially skilled at hunting fish for her Clan. While her deaf ear is troublesome during hunting among the forest, well-trained eyes give her an advantage while searching for fish in the river. Nothing out of the ordinary has happened since her mother's death, although the she-cat does long for the companionship of a mate.
Anything else: In case you didn't pick it up, Icefire is deaf in her right ear, the same side her blue eye is on. x3 Most cats with different colored eyes are born with the same disability.
